How did you get into cooking?
I learned to cook from my dad and to bake from my mom. A lot of people have asked me if I went to culinary school, however, I didn’t. Just a lot of practice, imagination and Mary Jane!
When did you get into cannabis-infused cooking and baking?
I’ve been infusing baked goods for 10 years, but 9 of those years were in secret since I lived in Texas. It’ll be a year on November 20th that I I’ve been baking for SoCal patients.
How did you make the transition to cannabis cuisine?
The idea was for my best friend and I to make brownies for a reggae festival during 420 for personal use. Then people started to encourage me to make it a consistent thing. The San Antonio bicycle community were my first patients.

Are your family and friends aware of your business?
All my friends know and they were all for it. However, only a few members of my family are aware. My mom was resistant at first. She was SO upset when I told her- considering I went to school and got my BA in psychology but instead I’m baking cannabis. But now she supports me. She even bought me a pink Kitchen Aide!
What business challenges have you encountered?
Just getting my brand and product out there. It’s just me that bakes, does the marketing, all the business moves, the events and the canvassing. It’s so exhausting! But it’s what I love. So it’s all worth it at the end of the day.
Who are your favorite chefs?
Pepper! She is the creator of Pepper Co. Medibles. She is so sweet and genuine and is a beast in the kitchen! I totally look up to her.
What is your favorite ingredient to use in cannabis cooking?
Cinnamon

What is your signature dish?
Donuts
Where do you see your business 5 years from now?
I want to cater private parties.
What changes have you seen in the industry over the years?
A lot of support from other females. The industry is predominately males, so when we see another female doing her thing, it’s like a ‘Haaaaay! Girl power!’
