Moonlit Moveable Feast

Moonlit Moveable Feast was hosted by MJU High Dining on June 10th at a private venue in Joshua Tree. Upon arriving to the venue, we immediately knew we were about to be transported to another experience. As the sun set, guests partook in joint sampling provided by Emerald Exchange, infused rye whiskey created by Awakened Topicals, live glass blowing, and hookah sampling.

A long table draped with an elegant white cloth looked stunning with the beautiful desert in the background. As the moon rose, guests sat down to be served and gifted on the table were glass dugouts and a Malawi Dawg flower cannabis strain provided by Hummingbird Medicinals.

The first course was the Sunset course-a ginger melon medley with mixed melons, desert lavender, bougainvillea and ginger vinaigrette. The Moonrise course was a high desert salad with arugula, dates, pickled shallot, goat cheese, cannabis leaves, hemp seeds, lemon hibiscus and vinaigrette infused with Awakened Topicals‘ raw cannabis tincture. The Stargazer course was rabbit ragu (or mushroom ragu for the vegetarians!) with fresh cannabis and basil leaf, and fettuccine infused with Can O’ Budder Ghee. The last course was the Moonset course which consisted of a prickly pear granita with candied Buddha’s hands and pickled tamarind infused with Guild Extracts‘ crystalline CBD.

Not only was the Moveable Moonlit Feast an experience for the stomach, it was also a feast for the eyes. The magic of the desert, the moon, and the hand picked private venue were sensational. Bouquet arrangements by Flowers on Flowers scattered around the property were mesmerizing yet subtle. As we left the desert later that night, we felt refreshed and renewed by the power of the moon. We also scored big time with all the gift bag goodies we brought home! Thank you MJU High Dining for such an amazing event.
