On August 24, 2017, in celebration of the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, Culinary & Cannabis held a special CannaSpa event, which included a pre-award pampering day with both cannabis and non-cannabis infused products and services. Guests were treated to facials and massages by Royal Treatment Wellness and Flower Conspiracy, beauty services by Perceptive, gemstone and sound therapy by Dr. Eve, and lash and eyebrow treatments by D.Salter Beauty. The event was held at Pamplona 89 in Downtown Los Angeles.
Lucky members of the press/media, celebs, and the general public experienced the benefits of CannaSpa’s services for its wellness and healing properties. The event was geared to providing a platform for brands that incorporate cannabis into their products or services for medicinal purposes in creative ways. Celebrity guests who got some pampering love include Love & Hip Hop star Nikko London, actor Rashaad Dunn, Growing Up Hip Hop star Brianna Latrise, and actor Darris Love.
Other participating vendors and sponsors include streetwear label The 86ers, fitness sponsor Zeekpak, DJ Proper, media partner The Roll Up Show, cannabis skincare line from.ever.since, and chef GanjaEats.
